Shankhapushpi Convolvulus Microphyllus

Convolvulus Microphyllus (Convolvulaceae);
A Small prostrate herb with whitish pinkish flowers; common throughout India
Propagated through seeds
Plant contains 29-oxodotriacontanol and tetratriacontanoic acid, kaempferol and Kaempferol-3-glucoside
Plant anti-fungal and used in potentiation of barbiturate hypnosis
The whole plant is brain tonic and used in mental diseases, instantly, epilepsy, insomnia and as a sedative.
